The Mad king

(this short story is taken from the novel 'Veronica decides to die'- Paulo Coelho.
Once upon a time in a kingdom lived a King with his Queen. A magician was the friend of the king. Due to some reasons the King and the Magician fought. The magician needed revenge and so he made a magical potion that upon drinking would make the person go mad. He mixed the potion into the water of the well.
And so it happened that the whole kingdom became mad except the King and the Queen who didn't drink from the common well.
Then one day the citizens decided among themselves that the king was mad and he was taking decisions and decided to overthrow him. The whole kingdom marched before the castle and demanded that the king should be overthrown.
The Queen had an idea and said to the King "Listen O king, the whole kingdom is mad because they drank from the common well and now they are cursing you of being mad. Why don't we drink that water and become mad too? So that the kingdom will be at peace?"
The king taking the Queens advice drank the water and became mad. Then the citizens watched and when they saw that the actions of the king was righteous they hailed him.
This story matches with everyone. In our life at some point we become mad for the sake of others and being afraid of standing against them.
But the real Question is- "Do you want to be mad?"
THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Zendorous: Indifferent to 'Barking dogs'

Zendorous: Indifferent to 'Barking dogs'

Indifferent to 'Barking dogs'

Have you ever found yourself in a situation when you were chased by a dog? Almost everyone must have faced it. What had been your action? If you answer that you would just walk away then you are one the intelligent people I would like to trade with.If not, don't worry I would teach you the power of being indifference.
I have found in my experience that some people around you are jealous of you even without their knowledge, which would mean that it is a psychological factor. And when this jealous takes them they are unable to attain the same heights as that of the other guy.
And the only choice that they have is to pull down on our legs(like a dog). They cannot tell face to face that they are jealous of us and so they take another route and try to mock at us.And we being afraid of being mocked get down to their level and try to please them so that they can keep quite.
Now the next question is, Will you bark at a dog in reply when it barks at you?
the answer to this question is a definite no. Then why are we giving up easily to other people calling them as your friend?
Are you afraid of being friendless?
Let me tell you that no friend of yours is going to share his or her salary when he/she starts to earn. So why do you give yourself up to just few words of belittling which doesn't mean anything to you. Isn't it time to check yourself and live as you are?
Think about it again and try to be indifferent towards people who bark.

Negative Thoughts

Today, as the class was getting over my friend(G Manoj Kumar) asked me , Is it bad to have too much of negative thoughts? I wondered at that question for about ten seconds as I was taken aback by the content of it. I said Yes.
Then within myself I started to wonder what makes the negative thoughts to enter our mind and it was then I realized that our education system is to be blamed.
From our childhood we are taught about various laws and definitions which are standard.(I don't say that they are standard) And our mind subconciously gets used to it. So here we are with all those limits set around us because we are always taught about the limits of a thing or a machine or a theory but we are never taught about the possibilities of breaking a law or a definition.
Finally what has happened? We are within a circle telling ourselves that we won't cross it. While the fact is that the circle doesn't even exist.
So are you going to break your boundary and let your imaginations take wings?

Anger

The blood was dripping from his hand. With each drop falling on the ground he could hear her cry. He caught his forehead in a futile attempt to brush away the thoughts of her. The knife that had made the cut was glittering in the dark.
“What have I done?” he asked himself as he saw his wife dead on the floor killed by him.
He had returned home late and had found somehing unusual in the house. The air was aedulterated by someone else. He had opened his wife’s room and to his horror he had found another man with his wife. Losing his temper he took the kitchen knife and drove it through her throat.
“I shouldn’t have done this . I loved her not her body.” saying he fell on the floor besides her crying and caressing her with deep regret.
He lifted her lips and bought over to his. He needed to feel the warmth of her as he knew it would be the last. He kissed with such deep passion that even venus would have melted.
All of a sudden he noticed that the eyes of his wife were opening as if from deep sleep. Then slowly he could see her lips twitch into a smile. there was no blood and sunlight filled her.
“Another dream? Get up now, you are late for work” she said as she got up from the bed
